Gino D’Acampo launches ‘best ever restaurant’ in Liverpool

Italian TV chef, Gino D’Acampo, is launching his ‘best ever’ restaurant in a former Liverpool bank, complete with a games room in the old vaults, a Prosecco bar overlooking the restaurant and a sky lounge. The old-school games room will have billiards, fussball, snooker and Space Invaders, plus a private bar available for private hire. He is also planning a sky bar on the roof of the central Liverpool restaurant, subject to permission, where visitors can enjoy far reaching views over the city.

Gino will be at the restaurant for the launch party and opening weekend so fans can have a chance to meet him while looking over what he says will be his best restaurant so far. As well as presenting numerous TV programmes, Gino has also starred in I’m A Celebrity… and holds various Guinness World Records, including making the most chocolate truffles in two minutes and running across custard for the longest time.

What’s so hot about Gino D’Acampo restaurants

Gino’s restaurants serve real Italian food at affordable prices, using well-sourced, seasonal and artisan produce, with some recipes being favourites from his books and TV series. The menu combines simple dishes such as risotto and lasagne, with linguine with lobster plus pizzas. His first restaurant opened in Manchester, quickly followed by London, Leeds and now Liverpool.

As well as fine Italian dining, guests can pop in for a drink at the Prosecco Bar, with more than 40 Proseccos, sparking wines and regional wines and classic Italian cocktails, including Bellinis, and artisan Italian beer – http://ginodacamporestaurants.com/myrestaurant/my-prosecco-bar/.

Launching a restaurant

Opening your own restaurant is a dream for many chefs. The chance to create your own signature dishes and be your own boss are attractive options. You will need to work out the costs of premises, ingredients, staff and kitchen equipment. Staff costs can be kept down by investing in equipment which can carry out the more menial tasks such as washing up or chopping. Then the kitchen staff you do employ can be involved in more interesting or creative tasks. You can find dishwashers or a range of commercial warewashers from companies such as https://www.247cateringsupplies.co.uk/bar-supplies/commercial-warewashers to compare costs.

You could join the likes of Gino, Jamie Oliver and Marco Pierre White with a restaurant of your own. You never know, it could be the first of many.
